It is an IWC 88 (movt # 1,153,074) which dates it back to 1947. The case has # .This is my vintage IWC caliber 88. My local very prestigious watchmaker performed a full service and checked the serial number of the movement and the case and estimated that it's propably from the year 1949. IWC cal 88. Here's a lovely old cal 88, SS from ca. 1950. The dial appears to be . For sale today, a stainless steel vintage IWC cal 88, the serial number dates it to around 1947 I believe. It is oversized, 37mm, and in excellent condition. I would say mint / near-NOS.

From what I was told this watch was circa .IWC Cal.88 9ct 1948. 100% Genuine & All Original. Fully Inspected, Serviced and Guaranteed. All in Absolutely Top Grade & Simply Stunning Condition. A Beautifully Well Cared for & Completely Original Example. Very High Grade . Up for sale comes a nice IWC with cal 88. The watch is working fine. Accuracy not tested in detail. diameter is 34mm without crown. comes on a used leather strap. Asking 850€ shipped. plenty of references available. 8. .

All of them are at the best of the technique for . The 83s were made from about 1935 (or possibly a few years' earlier) to 1947, and the 88s were made from 1946 to 1964.
